Two professionals have come together for the tinted primer. One is Victoria Beckham, a style icon when it comes to looks. Retinol – as often as I have already written about this active ingredient, I thought to myself that there simply couldn’t be anything new about it. It is one of the most proven and scientifically recognized substances in medicine and also in skin care. New products are coming onto the market all the time, but they are as similar as two peas in a pod. Hardly any skincare line today does not have a retinol product in its portfolio. Sometimes they contain a little more or a little less of the proven anti-ageing substance or they are based on different derivatives of vitamin A acid. Retinol in a different way Munich dermatologist Dr. Timm Golüke takes a different approach with his new “Retinol Solution”. Make-up palettes are not really my thing. Half of the colors and products I’ve bought so far have mostly remained unused. The green was too glittery for me, the mascara brush too thick and greasy, the eyebrow pencil far too hard. As a result, many a palette ended up in the bin at some point. Anything but economical and environmentally friendly. That’s right! That’s why I haven’t bought a palette for a long time. Make-up palette by Loni Baur Why I have now broken my resolution is down to Loni Baur. As a beauty journalist, I have experienced her live as a make-up artist on many occasions. I admire her know-how, creativity and expertise. She is one of the most successful German make-up artists for good reason. Loni has been creating looks for Fashion Weeks for 25 years, has done make-up for stars such as Charlène of Monaco, Gigi Hadid and Lenny Kravitz and has worked with well-known designers and renowned magazines. In April 2022, she launched her own make-up line LONI BAUR. She is a make-up artist with a huge amount of experience in make-up and looks. That’s why I was so excited about her own beauty products and simply had to make an exception for her palette. SOS helpers have a lot to do with me after a long summer like this one with plenty of sun, salt or chlorine water and constant UV protection. The skin is drier than usual – my beautician has also noticed this – and perhaps even a little irritated. Sun creams like to close the pores, and sun wrinkles mercilessly make their way – especially around the eyes and in the cheek area In this phase, the retinol, which is usually alternately part of my care routine in the evening, remains in the beauty cabinet. It offers everything I love when it comes to make-up: a multitasker with which you can conjure up a complete, unexciting make-up in a “stick twist” that only takes a few minutes. I love! Duo Stick: a mix & match concept The upgrade of the vegan Iconic bestseller took two years of development. First, the exterior: The new more robust and user-friendly Duo Stick Case is made of lightweight aluminum in glossy white instead of the previous matte plastic shell. In addition, all external parts are coated with a special transparent and glossy protective lacquer. This not only makes the Duo Stick easier to clean, but also gives it a higher-quality look and makes it more robust and thus more durable.Together with a more sustainable refill option, 43 percent plastic is saved. Since the used, empty refills still have to be disposed of, Kess has chosen polypropylene as the only mono-material for this, as it is easier to recycle and therefore more environmentally friendly. Inserting the refills at the end of the stick is easy thanks to a user-friendly click-in mechanism. You remove the cap of the empty case, click in the refill. When you hear the click, everything fits. Then you remove the clear safety cap from the refill and close it with the cap of the stick. Replacing a refill is just as easy: just pull it out to remove it! Click – blush – glow I am especially happy about “Flirt”. The refreshing red tone with warm undertones is exactly my color. It looks really bright in the pencil, but blended thinly on the cheekbones it gives the perfect “naturally flushed cheeks” look with a satin matte finish. Tested for you: Face oil “Glow Hydration Oil” by Noble Panacea

Face Oil? To say it right up front, I’ve never been a big fan of face oil. So far, they haven’t enjoyed a particularly good reputation in skin expert circles either – too oily, lingering on the skin without the benefit of being able to penetrate deeper to really make a difference. Face Oils Generation 2.0 With the new generation of facial oils, things have changed. And since I am a fan of the French noble brand Noble Panacea – already because of their practical, travel-friendly single doses and the stylish but sustainable packaging – , I decided to go there on a renewed “oil search”. The portfolio of the brand with the “clean” formulas has been expanded with two new face oils: from the series The Absolute the “Nourishing Lift Oil” and from The Brilliant the “Glow Hydration Oil”. I chose the latter because my skin can use an extra dose of moisture after the very warm summer days in Italy. A well-rounded thing The small round single of the face oil tin in bright fuchsia is quickly opened. The portion is just enough for the face. To my taste, the dosages in the discs at Noble Panacea are often a bit small. I noticed this especially with the Vitamin C Booster… But back to my new face oil: The “Glow Hydration Oil” is silky and absorbs quickly. I like that already very well, because I can not stand the “greasy” feeling of very rich products on the skin. The ingredients are high quality and focused on moisture and glow: Hyaluronic acid encapsulated in OSMV technology. Squalane tightens the skin with its cushioning effect. Retinol stimulates collagen and elastin production, reducing fine lines and wrinkles. Sea fennel extract replenishes the lipid barrier and thus compensates for deficiencies, allowing the skin to regain its balance. And last but not least, hazelnut kernel oil ensures a supple radiant complexion.. Application evening or daytime? I use the oil in the evening as a soloist. For an additional firm-and-beautiful effect, I massage the product with a Gua Sha stone when I have a lot of time and leisure (happens often!). The moisturizing facial oil can of course also be used during the day. However, it should then be applied as the last step of the care routine over the previously applied products. But that’s exactly why I still shy away from it during the day, because I would then have to apply the oil over my sunscreen – and then my slightly oily T-zone would shine even more.… weiterlesen

A new concealer from my favorite of the Italian fashion and now beauty brands. I love the fashion – especially the shoes – of Valentino Garavani, who founded Maison Valentino in Rome in 1960. Even if the brilliantly beautiful pieces are often beyond my purse capacity, I always like to look at them and wait impatiently for the new collections. No question, until today Maison Valentino is one of the most elegant and glamorous couture houses in the world. Pierpaolo Piccioli, Creative Director of Valentino since 2008, founded the Valentino Beauty brand with a completely new beauty concept. With the three iconic codes – Color, Cool and Couture – he breaks with the old make-up rules and the previously conventional make-up stereotypes. In this way, everyone can highlight their own individuality. For every moment and every mood, he finds the appropriate color. Concealer with three ways of application This concept is also followed by the new concealer “Very Valentino” with 20 perfectly graduated shades from the three color families pink, neutral, amber and the exclusive Roma-Light Complex, which is designed to make facial features shine. Depending on the color choice, the extensive color palette offers three different application options – for brightening, concealing and contouring. And it does so for 24 hours and 100 percent reliably, the description says. I’ll have to try that out. I pull the spring applicator out of the container. It’s wider than you’d expect and flexible. It has a flat side for application and an ultra-fine tip that’s good for reaching every corner of the eyes. Shadows are usually darkest at the inner corners of the eyes. The tip releases just the right amount of color. The flexibility of the applicator ensures that the color can be spread thinly but precisely. Lightweight and nourishing The texture of the concealer is so light that you can hardly feel it on your skin. This is especially important to me because I can’t stand the feeling of being covered up. The creamy formula also has a nourishing effect thanks to glycerin, caffeine and vitamin E. The skin can breathe despite full coverage and never dries out, so that more wrinkles can not form as is the case with too dry products. Eye care with vitamin C has a brightening and decongestant effect. Vitamin C is primarily responsible for lightening dark circles and pigmentation under the eyes. “Nutrient C” contains eight percent of the encapsulated vitamin, which is also known as a potent antioxidant. Vitamin E, caffeine extracted from green tea, and minerals from the sea have a visible decongestant effect and also possess antioxidant power. Extracts from the reishi mushroom, an Asian medicinal plant also known as the “divine mushroom” in Japan, and neem oil fight inflammation and swelling. Nothing creeps into the eye, because the texture of the clean beauty product is free of petroleum jelly and mineral oil. Of course, there are also no parabens, synthetic dyes, synthetic fragrances or gluten sulfate. The eye care of the American brand Kat Burki is a true multitasker: It refreshes and makes the eye area awake, especially in the morning. After four weeks of use, I notice in the mirror that the skin under the eyes has also become brighter and firmer. “Nutrient C Eye Cream” by Kat Burki, 15 ml, US$ 90 Micro-Firming Wand The latter success in my test, i.e. the firming of the thin skin under the eyes, can certainly also be partly attributed to Kat Burki’s handy micro-tightening device. „Wand” is the English word for “magic wand”. Indeed, there is something magical about the lightweight and travel-friendly tool. It is a transdermal system of iontophoresis and micro-vibrations. They increase the absorption of the applied care product and allow anti-aging active ingredients to penetrate 30 percent deeper into the skin.
