Tested for you: A cool and trendy cosmetic bag from Guilia & Giannini

A cosmetic bag has to fulfill three criteria for me: It has to be roomy, easy to clean and, of course, look good. The cosmetic bag from Guilia & Giannini fulfills these criteria. If I could take three thing What I particularly like about the cosmetic bag, or rather the box, is the chaneled, black quilted pattern and the round-oval suitcase shape, which can be carried by the handle. The material is easy-care, washable PU (Polyurethane). Cosmetic bag with plenty of storage space The interior has a large storage compartment in the middle for all the bottles and jars you carry around with you when traveling. There are five pockets on the edges of the rounded section, in which you can store smaller products and utensils such as ampoules, make-up and lipsticks or accessories. Two of them have a latch with a snap fastener to prevent the contents from falling out. There is a further compartment in the lid with an elastic band, which can be used to store a mirror, for example, as this is not included. The dimensions of the cosmetic bag are ideal – not so big that you can fit so much in it and break it – but also not too small that you are forced to carry another beauty case with you when traveling. The box is 22 cm long, 17 cm wide and 16 cm high. You want to have a beauty companion like this in your life, where chic meets functionality. Anyone who would like a cosmetic bag in a different shape, size or design is sure to find what they are looking for at Guilia & Giannini. The range is extremely diverse. It ranges from small to large bags in velvet, crocodile or floral print and even in teddy. Giannini Crossed Quilted PU Large 39,99 A company with reach When I heard the name of the brand, my first thought was that Italy is her home country. Isn’t Giannini very similar to the name of Italian superstar Gianna Nannini? Far from it. The products come from Essen. This is where InCase Handelsgesellschaft mbH is based, which was founded in 2003 by Joachim Hendrichs and a partner. “We stand for millions of beauty and lifestyle products sold that make our customers’ lives more beautiful. We are one of the most successful suppliers in Europe and develop lifestyle collections with passion and fun. We have our finger on the pulse of the times and are enthusiastic about creating lifestyles that we ourselves enjoy,” says Joachim Hendrichs.… weiterlesen

Tested for you: 2 limited Summer eyeshadow palettes “Eyelights” by Artdeco

With these eyeshadows in the two new palettes only the radiant sun can compete. They are bright colors that are a joy to apply and let you feel the lightness of summer. Pink meets orange is the motto of the two palettes and the entire “Summer Brights” collection. However, I would like to focus here on the summer eyeshadows of the two palettes. The “Eyelights Palettes” are available in two color combinations: “fun in the sun” N°1 contains subtle nude shades from “sand” to “sunsational”. In “turn up the heat” N°02, there are rosĂ©, violet and red shades called “adventure”, “meremazing” or “popsicle”, for example. There are eight coordinated metallic and pearl shades that offer countless make-up variations. Summer palettes with a special feel The packaging of both summer palettes is a special visual and tactile highlight. The lids are covered with vegan leather, one in bright orange and the other in vibrant pink. An integrated and very practical make-up mirror is concealed on the inside. Convenient when you’re on the go. The textures of the eyeshadows in both palettes have a pleasantly soft texture. Nevertheless, they provide high coverage and color intensity on the skin. The vegan eyeshadows in both “Eyelights Palettes” are also suitable for sensitive eyes as they are free from mineral oil, parabens and perfume. How to create multi-color eyes So many colors in one palette look beautiful. But many people ask themselves: What is the best way to create a multi-color eye look? A tip first: By using an eyeshadow base or primer on the upper eyelids, you can increase the durability of the color powders and also optimize their intensity. The most important decision: You shouldn’t use more than three different colors at once. On the other hand, you can confidently say goodbye to a “tone-on-tone” approach. We recommend first emphasizing the eyes with black kohl or eyeliner, which looks much more harmonious. Then outline the edges of the eyelids with the darkest shade in the palette. Then apply another color of your choice to the upper lids. If you want, you can trace the lower lids with the next lighter shade. Always apply a very light shade to the inner corners of the eyes and the highlight under the brow. This opens up the look. Play with your imagination Another option is to apply make-up with a light and a dark color. First apply the light color evenly to the entire movable eyelid and blend it in carefully.… weiterlesen

Tested for you: Neck and dĂ©colletĂ© concentrate “The Elevator” by Trinny London

The neck and dĂ©colletĂ© are often the poor relation when it comes to skin care routines. Yet these two areas of the body in particular need a lot of attention. This is because the skin on the neck and dĂ©colletĂ© is twice as thin as on the rest of the body. It is also drier because there are fewer sebaceous glands and there are also fewer collagen fibers in these areas to support firmness and elasticity. The neck and dĂ©colletĂ© therefore have little power to resist gravity. But that’s not all. The neck in particular is constantly in motion and permanently exposed to UV radiation, often without sun protection. The frequent turning and tilting of the head can cause horizontal wrinkles to form on the neck. The skin on the dĂ©colletĂ©, on the other hand, can stretch due to the weight of the breast and cause vertical wrinkles to form. For these reasons, the skin in these two areas often ages visibly faster than on the face. Similar to the hands, the neck and dĂ©colletĂ© reveal a woman’s true age. From the age of 30, it is therefore advisable to regularly moisturize and protect the skin of the neck and dĂ©colletĂ©. “Elevator” lifts the neck and dĂ©colletĂ© While it is good to apply skincare to the neck, a targeted approach is even better. Trinny London has developed “The Elevator”, a rich, highly active skincare concentrate – vegan and free from animal testing – to reduce precisely the unloved ageing processes described above. “It took us a long time to develop a formulation in our laboratory that actually works. Our highly effective concentrate tackles sagging skin with ingredients that lift and firm the neck – for a neck you won’t want to hide.” Trinny Woodall, founder & CEO What exactly is a concentrate? A concentrate contains the best active ingredients from a serum and a moisturizer. It delivers highly effective substances in a rich, nourishing composition to address persistent skin needs in specific areas. It’s going up
Trinny London’s concentrate targets the problems of the neck and dĂ©colletĂ© and reduces the impact of the factors that lead to accelerated skin ageing in these often neglected areas of the body. In “The Elevator”, this is an innovative cohesive technology that strengthens the “glue” that holds the skin layers together. More specifically, it is the phyto-extract from the Isodon plant that strengthens the genes that hold the epidermis and dermis together.… weiterlesen

Tested for you: Lip liner in 4 new shades – “Soft Shape Lip Liner” by Kess

Lip liners are an indispensable beauty essential for me. And not just when I want my lipstick to sit perfectly and stay where it belongs – on my lips. I also like to use liners on their own when I don’t feel like doing an elaborate lip make-up with several make-up steps. Lip liner as the sole tool creates naturally accentuated lips and long-lasting color. The four new rosĂ©-brown-nude shades Chocolate Brown, Caramel Nude, Neutral Brown and Natural Rose always work. My personal favorite is Neutral Brown. The creamy Soft Shape Lip Liner is easy to apply and just as easy to blend. The precise lip liner sits on one end of the pencil and a practical, vegan smudger brush on the other. It can be used to make thick contours appear softer. When turned, the clever contour pencil disappears into its casing and therefore does not need to be sharpened. I find this extremely practical because I never have the right sharpener to hand that matches the thickness of the contour pencil in question. Lip liner for a variety of looks I start by lining the contours of my mouth. I minimally overdraw the upper lip to match the fuller lower lip. Then I draw the lips further inwards and blend the color with the Smudger. Depending on my mood, I combine the Soft Shape Lip Liner with other lip products, such as a lip oil or a lip gloss. I also like to use a balm that contains chili (capsaicin), mint or cinnamon. These are all substances that stimulate blood flow to the skin of the lips, which temporarily gives you slightly fuller lips. But there are of course other variations that you can conjure up with a contour pencil. Take, for example, the iconic 90s looks of super models Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell or Victoria Beckham. They made the extravagant two-tone lip look a trend. This included a bold, dark contour and highly pigmented lipstick in opaque beige and brown shades. Cheating with lip liner As briefly mentioned above, you can also cheat very well with contour pencils. Narrow lips can be transformed into a full pout. It’s very simple: by lightly painting over the natural lip contour, the lips appear fuller and more defined. With the four Soft Shape Lip Liners from Kess, there are no make-up disasters either, because you can’t go wrong with the four nude shade.… weiterlesen

Tested for you: UV protection “Daily Defense Face Mousse SPF 50 from Evy

UV protection in winter? I only need it when skiing or in the mountains. I hear that all the time. But it’s wrong. Because even if the tanning UVB rays have little effect in the winter months, the skin needs protection to prevent premature ageing. We are constantly exposed to UVA light. These deep-penetrating rays even penetrate glass. They reach us in closed rooms and also behind the windshield of our car. This radiation reaches so deep into the skin layers that it is the cause of pigmentation spots and wrinkles. It also causes a loss of elasticity because collagen is broken down more quickly. And this happens regardless of whether the sun is shining outside or not. Dermatologists agree that more than 90 percent of the symptoms of skin ageing are caused by UV radiation. UV protection in winter Now you might think that it is enough to use a day cream and make-up with an uv protection factor in the cold season. This is also wrong. In winter it simply has to be a little more. The difference between a real sun protection product and a day cream with SPF is that the day cream was simply not designed as sun protection, but primarily pursues other goals such as moisturizing the skin, for example. This is why such a cream often does not offer sufficient sun protection, especially against the deep-penetrating UVA rays. Incidentally, protection against UVA rays is measured in relation to the SPF value. If you want to achieve comprehensive UVA protection for your skin, you should use a classified sunscreen. UV protection mousse with SPF 50 There are several good reasons why I chose the “Daily Defense Face Mousse SPF 50”, especially in the winter months: The mousse has a pleasant texture. It comes out of the dispenser fluffy and compact, i.e. not runny. I don’t like it when a product runs through my fingers. The airy foam spreads smoothly over the face and has an intensive moisturizing effect on the skin. The complexion is beautifully matt afterwards and doesn’t look greasy – very important! The UV protection mousse is quickly absorbed and acts like a primer. The skin not only receives the highest possible UVA protection according to the Boots Star Rating Test and PA+ Test, but is also protected against HEV/blue light. This is not only found in the natural light spectrum, but is also emitted by screens.… weiterlesen

Concealer, Essential For An Even Complexion

Concealer are multi-talented. The selection of make-up products is large, so the choice is often difficult. However, one thing is important for anyone who values a well-groomed appearance: a Concealer is part of the basic kit! Here you can find out what it can do and, above all, how to apply it correctly. Concealer – what do I need it for? If you ask yourself this question, you will get several answers. First of all, it’s all about an even complexion. This practical beauty aid is perfect for covering dark circles, redness and pigmentation spots. It is also ideal for concealing blemishes and even small wrinkles and scars disappear underneath. In principle, a concealer is a type of make-up that has a stronger pigmentation and higher coverage than a foundation and lasts longer on the skin. Incidentally, concealers have been used for a long time under the name of cover sticks or cover creams, even though the composition and nourishing properties have improved considerably compared to these products used in the past. This useful beauty tool is available in liquid and solid form. Those with dry skin will achieve good results with the liquid version. A small foam applicator is usually integrated for application. For oily skin types, a product with a creamy, firm consistency is better. It is available in stick form or in small jars. It is important to always choose the right shade for your skin. It is best to test it on the back of your hand. The color should be one to two shades lighter than the make-up color and the natural skin tone. Possible applications for facial areas In addition to different skin tones, this products are also available in colored versions. However, this does not enable “color painting”, but so-called color correcting. In other words, concealers in complementary colors are particularly good at balancing out any color abnormalities on the face: Green makes redness disappear, peach and orange tones work against blue veins. Yellow is ideal for concealing very dark circles under the eyes. A light purple shade is ideal for brightening up sallow skin. If you have different color problems, a concealer palette is ideal because it offers a broad color spectrum. For pigmentation spots, the stick or cream should have particularly strong coverage. The color orange successfully counteracts dark pigmentation spots. If pigmentation spots are very dark, camouflage make-up is also suitable instead of a concealer.… weiterlesen

Tested for you: Orange for the lips “Liquid Lipstick Pure Orange” by La BiosthĂ©tique

Tested for you: Cover Cream “Body Coverage Perfector” from Eelhoe

A cover cream for the body that invisibly covers spider veins, tattoos, scars and anything else you don’t want to show and is also waterproof. At least that’s what the Orgrul brand promised on social media with impressive before-and-after examples. Sounded interesting at first, so I ordered the product. The price was also okay. But
Fooled again! For me, Eelhoe’s cover cream is yet more proof that the World Wide Web is full of lies and manipulation on social media. And it is patient. I wanted to cover a darkly pigmented, larger spot on my left forearm that had developed after a deeper injury. Cover cream for every skin tone I read the following about the cover cream: natural and healthy ingredients. But I can’t find out what these are. It also provides the skin with various moisturizing factors that give the surface a natural glow. The product is waterproof and the coverage lasts all day. The color adapts to the skin and is suitable for all skin tones. I also read the application instructions carefully and followed them religiously: Cleanse the skin. Apply the cover cream to the areas to be covered using your fingers or a larger brush. Then leave the product to dry on the skin for ten minutes. If more coverage is required, a second layer can be applied, which should also be left to dry for 10 minutes. Finally, wipe over the treated area with a paper towel, towel or glove to remove excess Cover Cream – until nothing “rubs off”. Texture much too light So far, so good. The texture of the cream that I squeeze out of the purple tube seems very light to me – too light for my naturally tinted skin. But it is supposed to adapt to every color type. So I apply it with my fingertips to the darkly pigmented area on my forearm. The cover cream forms a very light, almost white patch. I wait the prescribed 10 minutes. Nothing changes. Then I carefully wipe my forearm with a soft guest towel to remove any product residue. And what emerges? The dark spot, clearly visible, is covered by a fine white layer. It hasn’t disappeared, as the manufacturer shows in various photos. The skin must be very white for the color of the cover cream to match. I suspect Photoshop sends its regards in the before and after photos!… weiterlesen

„Model skin for Everyone“ is the motto of the new skincare range from Germany’s largest model agency MGM Models. With 1,500 models, it is also one of Europe’s leading agencies in the industry. Well-known top models such as Kate Upton and Chrissy Teigen started their careers here. Last fall, the luxury skincare brand MGM Cosmetics launched a total of three skincare lines. The twelve Modelskin products are divided into different age groups: Everyday 16-25 years, Advanced 25-40 years and Supreme 35- 60 years. Tested for you: Tinted Primer “VB x Augustinus Bader Cell Rejuvenating Priming Moisturizer in Golden“

Two professionals have come together for the tinted primer. One is Victoria Beckham, a style icon when it comes to looks. The other, Professor Augustinus Bader, a world-renowned biomedical scientist and one of the leading experts in the field of stem cell biology and regenerative medicine. He has provided the substantive know-how with his power ingredient TCF8, on which his own Augustinus Bader skincare line is also based. Primer for a sunkissed look The result of the collaboration between the two is a moisturizing primer that improves the appearance of pores and small imperfections in the skin while also providing an instant bronze glow. The product is always sold out on Victoria Beckham’s online portal. That’s why I was lucky enough to be able to get hold of at least a 15 ml vial for testing. Because the 30 ml and 50 ml versions were already sold out again. “In collaboration with Victoria Beckham and her team, we have developed this amazing new serum that applies the physiology of healthy skin and protects the skin’s barrier function. All the know-how is based on the science of what our skin cells really need to function optimally.” Prof. Augustinus Bader The gold-colored primer is actually a little miracle cure. At first I was worried that it might make my complexion too shiny, which I don’t like at all. Not at all. Just a few drops of the golden texture make it smooth and radiant. The pores appear smaller, wrinkles and lines minimized. As the saying goes – and by now somewhat overused – the skin gets the coveted sunkissed glow. Multitasker for You can apply the primer to bare skin for a natural glow or under make-up as a warm, illuminating primer. It can also be mixed with foundation and body cream for an all-over glow from head to toe. „For an extra luminous glow, use an additional pump of Golden Priming Moisturizer over make up on the high points of the face including the cheekbones, along the nose, and above the Cupid’s bow.“ Victoria Beckham Prof. Bader’s primer formula is based on his TFC8 technology and a blend of highly effective, sustainably sourced botanicals and vitamins for long-lasting skin radiance. All Bader products contain clean, biotechnologically produced active ingredients to reduce the environmental impact as much as possible. They do not contain any harmful ingredients. The skin care is 100 percent free of parabens, fragrances, SLS, SLES, DEA, heavy metals, talc and petrolatum/paraffin/mineral oil.… weiterlesen
